Welcome to CAPF Assistant Commandant. We will study The CAPF (AC) Examination: Scheme, Selection Stages and Learning Map, work through an example, and practise using the course's learning material. Select this published lesson. Start Course Tutor with Auto audio on: it teaches continuously, answers a typed question, then resumes. Paper I — General Ability and Intelligence. Objective, multiple-choice questions for 250 marks, two hours. It covers general mental ability (logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, data interpretation), general science, current events of national and international importance, Indian polity and economy, history of India, and Indian and world geography. Example 2 — Choosing the language for Paper II. Kavita writes Hindi fluently but her English is average. How should she plan? Reasoning: Part A has allowed English or Hindi, but Part B is in English only. Answer: She may write Part A in Hindi if the notification allows it, but must build English comprehension, précis and grammar for Part B. Which mistake would change the reasoning in this example? Treating CAPF (AC) as a smaller version of the civil services examination. Fix: Study its own syllabus; Paper II's security, human rights and English skills are distinctive. Ignoring Part B until late. Fix: Practise comprehension, précis and grammar weekly from the start. Ask Course Tutor: please explain this step from the example. Reasoning: Part A has allowed English or Hindi, but Part B is in English only. Why does it follow? Add what you tried, so the explanation addresses your difficulty. Now try the source practice. What does Part B of Paper II test? Pause before the answer. The source answer is: Comprehension, précis writing, communication and language skills, counter-arguments and simple grammar, in English. Compare your reasoning as well as the result. If your response differs, return to the worked example and identify the step that needs correction. Explain the key idea in your own words, revisit any mistaken step, then continue to the next lesson. Use Stop to end Course Tutor when you finish.
