Learn with ZELVU. Take your degree from the university.
You enrol directly with a UGC-DEB recognised open, distance or online university and pay the university for admission and examinations. ZELVU is where you learn: plain-language teaching, structured reading, practice and an AI Course Tutor for your papers. The degree is issued only by the university.
How it works
Step 1
Choose a programme and check it on the UGC-DEB portal
Pick the course you want, then confirm on deb.ugc.ac.in that the university is recognised (ODL) or entitled (online) for that exact programme and session. Recognition is programme-wise and time-bound.
Step 2
Create your DEB-ID and enrol directly with the university
Generate a DEB-ID from your ABC-ID, then apply on the university's own website and pay the university's fee to the university. ZELVU does not take admission, exam or degree fees.
Step 3
Study with ZELVU alongside
Use ZELVU for explanation, structured reading, practice questions and the AI Course Tutor to prepare for the university's assignments and examinations. This is separate optional learning support.
Step 4
Take the university's examinations and receive its degree
Examinations, evaluation, results and the degree are conducted and issued only by the university, under its rules and the UGC regulations.
What ZELVU does

- ✓ Help you compare universities and read the official DEB lists, and prepare a study plan for the university's papers.
- ✓ Keep learning support priced and billed separately from the university's own fees.
What ZELVU does not do
- ✕ ZELVU is not a university, college, affiliated centre, learner-support centre, franchisee or admission agent of any university.
- ✕ ZELVU does not award, issue or guarantee any degree, and does not guarantee admission, examination results or equivalence.
- ✕ ZELVU does not collect university admission or examination fees, and does not conduct university examinations.
Check before you enrol
- ☐ University is listed as recognised/entitled on deb.ugc.ac.in for this programme and session.
- ☐ Programme is not on the UGC prohibited list for ODL/online mode, and any statutory council requirement (for example for professional courses) is met.
- ☐ You hold a DEB-ID and the admission is made on the university's own portal, with receipts in your name from the university.
- ☐ Fees, duration, examination centres and eligibility are taken from the university's official prospectus, not from any third party.
- ☐ Territorial limits are respected: some universities admit only within their own state for certain modes.
