Welcome to State Government Recruitment. We will study State Recruitment Bodies and the Stages of a Selection Process, work through an example, and practise using the course's learning material. General state-sector recruitment preparation for competitive, clerical and administrative opportunities across state governments. Sign in and use the study header to open your authorised course. Select this published lesson. Start Course Tutor with Auto audio on: it teaches continuously, answers a typed question, then resumes. 1. Requisition — a department informs the recruiting body how many vacancies exist, with category-wise break-up. 2. Advertisement or notification — the body publishes eligibility, scheme of examination, syllabus, reservation and the application process. 3. Online application — the candidate registers, often through a one-time registration (OTR) profile that carries over to later exams. Scenario B — who does what. A candidate is recommended by a State PSC but has not received an appointment letter after months. To whom should the enquiry go? Reasoning: the commission's role ends with recommendation. Appointment, posting and joining are handled by the department that sent the requisition. The enquiry therefore goes to the appointing department, citing the recommendation letter. Which mistake would change the reasoning in this example? Treating the preliminary score as part of final merit. Correction: in most PSC schemes the prelims only screen; read the scheme of examination to confirm. Confusing the State PSC with the subordinate services board. Ask Course Tutor: please explain this step from the example. To whom should the enquiry go? Reasoning: the commission's role ends with recommendation. Why does it follow? Add what you tried, so the explanation addresses your difficulty. Now try the source practice. Under which Article is a State Public Service Commission established, and who appoints its members? Pause before the answer. The source answer is: Article 315 establishes it; the Governor appoints the chairman and members (Article 316). Compare your reasoning as well as the result. If your response differs, return to the worked example and identify the step that needs correction. Explain the key idea in your own words, revisit any mistaken step, then continue to the next lesson. Use Stop to end Course Tutor when you finish.
