Welcome to Civil & Criminal Drafting. This original worked example shows a subject idea and a practical way to learn through the LMS. Sign in and open your authorised course from the study header. A missing fact cannot be supplied merely by a forceful adjective. In an original drafting exercise, a buyer alleges that the seller behaved dishonestly. The supplied records show an order for forty desks, an agreed price of 2,000 rupees each, full payment on 4 June, and delivery of only thirty desks by the agreed date of 20 June. Replace the general accusation with the agreement, quantity, price, payment and short delivery. Forty desks cost 80,000 rupees. Ten remain undelivered under the stated facts. Keep the supporting invoice and delivery records organised separately while drafting the material factual sequence. A clear paragraph lets the reader identify what was promised and what allegedly happened. It does not invent a fraudulent intention or assume the final remedy. Jurisdiction, limitation, valuation, court fees and the relief sought require their own checks on the complete record. The factual account identifies the alleged breach. The label does not establish the additional facts required for a different allegation. Change the order to twenty-five chairs at 1,200 rupees each, paid in full, with twenty delivered. Identify the total price and the factual shortfall. Pause the video before the answer. The total is 30,000 rupees and five chairs are undelivered. State the contractual delivery date if supplied. Do not invent it, a court-fee payment or a conclusion that the suit is within time.
