Welcome to Polytechnic Diploma — Information Technology. This video adapts a worked example from your published course reading, then shows how to practise through the learning management system. Semester-aligned learning support for a recognised diploma pathway in Information Technology, including theory, calculations, drawing/design, laboratory concepts and examination revision. Sign in and open your authorised course through the study header. Select a lesson from its current published reading list. With Auto audio on, Course Tutor teaches continuously, answers a typed question, then resumes. A dry run records how variables change after each pass. With the positive integer input used here, remainder by ten extracts the last digit, while integer division by ten removes it. The published C loop begins with n equal to four thousand seven hundred twenty-one and sum equal to zero. It repeatedly extracts a digit, adds it to sum, and shortens n until n becomes zero. The first extracted digit is one: sum becomes one and n becomes four hundred seventy-two. Then digit two gives sum three and n forty-seven. Digit seven gives sum ten and n four. Finally digit four gives sum fourteen and n zero, so the loop stops. The output is fourteen. A separate check adds the original digits in their written order: four plus seven plus two plus one also equals fourteen. Why must the shortened value of n be written back during every pass? Include the illustration's given facts and the step you tried when asking Course Tutor. It moves the loop toward its stopping condition. Without that update, the same positive input and last digit would be used repeatedly instead of progressing through the number. Now try this related practice question. Try an original input variation: trace one thousand eighty-four. Include the zero digit instead of silently removing a step. Pause before checking the answer. The extracted digits are four, eight, zero and one. Their total is thirteen. The remaining n values are one hundred eight, ten, one and zero. Use this learning routine with your course's published material. Read, attempt a step, ask about what is unclear, and compare your reasoning. Revisit an error before continuing to the next lesson.
