Welcome to SEBI Investor Awareness Test. We will study Securities-Market Basics: Public Issues, Stock Exchange Trading and Settlement, work through an example, and practise using the course's learning material. Preparation support for SEBI Investor Awareness Test. This is independent educational preparation; official certification is conducted by the relevant authority. Sign in and use the study header to open your authorised course. Select this published lesson. Start Course Tutor with Auto audio on: it teaches continuously, answers a typed question, then resumes. Price-time priority. The system matches the best buy price with the best sell price; among orders at the same price, the earlier order gets priority. Example 3 — order matching. Buy orders: A ₹101 at 10:01, B ₹101 at 10:00, C ₹100. A sell order arrives at ₹101 for 100 shares. B is matched first (same price as A, earlier time), then A if quantity remains. Which mistake would change the reasoning in this example? Believing SEBI vouches for an IPO. SEBI requires disclosure; it does not certify the price or soundness of the company. Ignoring the RHP and reading only advertisements. Risk factors and objects of the issue are in the offer document. Ask Course Tutor: please explain this step from the example. A sell order arrives at ₹101 for 100 shares. Why does it follow? Add what you tried, so the explanation addresses your difficulty. Now try the source practice. What is the advantage of a limit order over a market order? Pause before the answer. The source answer is: It can execute only at the specified price or better, but may remain unexecuted; it controls acceptable price, not certainty of execution. Explain the key idea in your own words, revisit any mistaken step, then continue to the next lesson. Use Stop to end Course Tutor when you finish.
